Initially shunned by
Lithgowian-like managers, this strange, unknown receiver should be strapped onto the roofs of all fantasy football teams and taken home immediately. Overlooked for the experienced Lance Moore and/or the sleeper who keeps sleeping, Robert
Meachem,
Devery Henderson is ready to make believers out of skeptics and cynics alike. He's already displayed his potential in the Saints offense, he posted a 100 yd game with a TD vs the
abominable Lions. This is what gets me so giddy about
Devery: he is listed ahead of Lance Moore on the
Saints depth chart, he had the
most targets (8) of all Saints receivers in week 1 and John Hansen has
this to say about him...
"Saints WR Devery Henderson has some major juice. If only he could runs routes better and catch the ball consistently well, he could be special."
Obviously the coaches have seen some improvements if he's listed ahead of Lance Moore, who caught 10
TDs and 928
yds last season. When
Colston missed games (6) and
Devery received more playing time, he was a decent start; posting 381
yds and a TD. His big play ability (24.8
ypc) and an increase in targets should make Henderson a very profitable player. I put in a 9
th waiver priority nabbing him and I'm currently testing the trade market for his services in other leagues.
