Each of us were asked to submit their Top 80 or so Wide Receivers for the 2011 fantasy football season. These rankings are for non-PPR formats. House rules apply, any large differences in rankings will be settled with an episode of Beef the Series. The Sons of Roto 2011 composite WR rankings await after the jump.

“The more beef they bring Killa, the more steak to feast on.” - Killa Sin

Big Poppa Pockets: I haven’t done an episode of “Beef: The Series” in a while, but that lil’ quote sums it up right. Justin Ochy-whatever the fuck his name is wants to do battle. He’s in Ryan Mathews’ corner and I’m reppin’ Steven Jackson. You decide in the end who you’d rather take (pause).

Take a dump, and make the jump:

Underrated/Overrated: RB ADP Data

Written by Andrew on .

We're comparing the SoR composite RB rankings to Average Draft Position data from three sites (Y!, ESPN, FFC). We're looking for running backs who are being overvalued or undervalued in fantasy football leagues and mock drafts. One of our sixteen backs bounces defenders off him like he's an 8-bit reincarnate of 1991's most feared. Sixteen backs; some are overrated, some are underrated and some are both. Enjoy.

Eat Beanie Macs

Beanie
Go Beanie Strong.

Being a fantasy sports guru has its ups and downs. Fun is always to be had, but moral dilemmas always dwell in our minds. We see ourselves rooting for certain players and sometimes we even root for injuries to occur. I’ll be the first to admit that I struggle with these demons. Most recently, the sole demon possessing my brain was Ryan Williams. Having high hopes for third-year sensation Beanie Wells, Williams' ever-looming presence in Arizona frightened me to the bitter end. Although Beanie has the tools to become an elite rusher in this league, Williams’ youth and equally impressive skill set hampered Beanie’s potential.

Thank god for torn patellar tendons.

Beef the Series: Peyton vs DeAngelo

Written by Andrew and Eric on .

HILLISbeasting

"It's an altercation, a melee of mental fiscticuffs; a side scrolling brawler. Contending in disagreement two Sons of Roto will duel to the death for no other reason than pride. It's a noble battle of the minds inside a world of sheer brutality. It's the sport of fantasy kings. It's Beef the Series." - Sir Beefly Wellington

Beef the Series. Episode Two: Peyton Hillis versus DeAngelo Williams

What's beef you may ask? Well in the immortal words of the Notorious B.I.G., "Beef is when I see you. Guaranteed to be in I.C.U.". Immediately after the composite RB rankings were published Eric was caught handing out mean mugs. Mean mugs, while harmless, are a precursor to beef. A few words were exchanged and Beef the Series Episode Two was born. Both Eric and Andrew will present their cases and a reader's poll will decide the outcome. Warning; the content after the jump may be graphic in detail.

Indianapolis Colts Q&A Session

Joseph Addai is back, but will he get the highly coveted goal line carries?

When you think of the Indianapolis Colts one man immediately comes to mind: Peyton Manning. The iron man of the NFL has not missed a game during his 13-year career, but he did undergo a surgical procedure on his neck this offseason. This was the second time in as many years that he’s had surgery on his head pole. There is no timetable for his return, but most (tentatively) expect him back for the start of the regular season. The quarterback Colt wasn’t the only animal to suffer from abuse and cruelty. Austin Collie is returning from multiple concussions and Dallas Clark returns from a busted up wrist. If everything comes together the team should continue to produce an array of fantasy staples. To help clear some of the cob webs inside and outside of Austin Collie’s head we’ve connected with a fellow Bloguin site, 18to88.com - An Indianapolis Colts Blog. Let’s jump into it.

Running Back Rankings Updated

Written by Andrew on .

The SoR RB rankings for the 2011 fantasy football season have been updated. I updated my personal set of rankings and then Justin tried to sabotage the entire set by adding his. Ray Rice overtook Chris Johnson, Peyton Hillis and Matt Forte fell a couple spots and Justin skewed our rankings for Ryan Mathews, Brandon Jacobs, Ryan Williams, Roy Helu, Tim Hightower, Ryan Torain, Willis McGahee and DeMarco Murray. There has been no word of a suspension for Mr. Occhionero. [2011 RB Rankings]

Each of us were asked to submit their Top 25 tight ends. Antonio Gates, Dallas Clark and Jermichael Finley each received a first place nomination, but it's Jason Witten who sits atop the heap. Four gurus, one set of ranks. Your 2011 TE rankings for the 2011 fantasy football season are after the jump.
