At “Stream Pies,” we are serving up gooey loads of knowledge. Here, we’ll provide invaluable streaming advice on SPs who are owned in less than 30-percent of Yahoo! leagues. We list the options in order of best option to “least-best” option (with the strongest recommendations starting at the top).
It’s Friday, so you know what that means... a super-incredible, double-edition of “Stream Pies” is on tap. So open up your gullet and let the foamy stuff pour in.
For games played Saturday, July 16th
Carl Pavano vs. KC
The Twins SP pitched a complete game against the Royals in his last start and has been great at home this year (52 IP, 2.77 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 20 Ks). You know who else has been great at home? Your mom.
Paul Maholm @HOU
Maholm owned the Stroh’s Lights in the two games he’s faced them this season (1-0, 13 IP, 1.38 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 7 Ks) and has been money here on “Stream Pies.”
Barry Zito @SD
Zito toyed with the Padres in his last start (8 IP, 1 ER, 4 Hs, 0 BBs, 7 Ks) and draws them again, this time at Petco Park, which is more cavernous than your mom’s pussy. Okay, I promise that’s the last vagina reference.
For games played Sunday, July 17th
Brad Penny vs. CHW
Brad Penny’s face looks like a 70’s porn actress’ cooch. Damn, couldn’t help myself.
Normally, I stay as far away from Penny as I can, but this match-up makes sense. Not only has Penny pitched effectively in two starts against the White Sox this year (2-0, 12 IP, 3 ER, 9 Hs, 4 BBs, 8 Ks), but he’s also been solid at home (3.06 ERA and 1.25 WHIP).
Brian Duensing vs. KC
He’s not an exciting pitcher at all, but he owns a 2.41 ERA over his last five starts and has pitched well against the Royals in three starts this season (1-1, 21 IP, 4 ER, 22 Hs, 5 BBs, 12 Ks).
