Mock Draft

This was my first mock draft [MockDraftCentral.com]
12 team league: C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF(3), UT, SP(2), RP(2), P(3), BN(5)

I like my teams well balanced. I'm not relying on anyone for a certain stat, namely SBs. It's nice to draft David Wright and not have to ask him to drastically improve his HR total. I tend to load up on hitters early and try to squeeze a couple SP in by rd 10. I always like to have 3 closers, but never want to spend an early pick on one. I liked waiting til the 11th, but I may have to venture into the 9-10th rd in leagues with 14-16 team drafts. I like Ryan Madson to start the year closing with Lidge banged up and possibly win the job outright. Between Liriano n Sheets, I should get a rewarding bounceback player. I dont know why Adrian Beltre fell so far and Desmond Jennings was just for fun. I could have had Kyle Blanks.

I was hoping to snag Brett Anderson. This is my first reminder that he will be taken much earlier than his ADP in competitive leagues. He will be the worlds most popular sleeper. He'll be the most hyped sleeper pitcher since Rich Hill. He went in rd 14, which came quick. I'm sure he will be going in rd 11-12 by the time the season starts. Someone to look for after him is Gavin Floyd. He was a bit unlucky with his ERA, which was 4.06 compared to his 3.68 xFIP. His BB/9 improved and I am looking for more improvement as he heads into his third full season. He is building arm strength, shown by the increase of velocity on four pitches. His curve ball has shown improvement. His GB/FB rate improved. His K/9 improved, which can be justified by the drop in O-Contact%. The K/9 could average back out, but I'm hoping the improved curve and increased usage of his slider will keep the O-Contact% low. If you can't tell, I like Floyd.
