At “Stream Pies,” we are serving up gooey loads of knowledge. Here, we’ll provide invaluable streaming advice on SPs who are owned in less than 30-percent of Yahoo! leagues. We list the options in order of best option to “least-best” option (with the strongest recommendations starting at the top).

With so little time left in the season, I stepped up the number of recommendations in order to help you catch up in innings pitched. Obviously, I’m walking more of a tightrope by putting more names on here, but it’s cool because I’m a stand up guy who’s brave, fearless, and humble as shit.

MiLB Prospect Rankings: Middle Infield

It won't be long until fantasy teams are oozing Machado

Due to the number of recent promotions (Dustin Ackley, Jason Kipnis, Dee Gordon, Jemile Weeks, Jose Altuve, Johnny Giavotella and Chase D’Arnaud) most of the top middle infield prospects are in the Low Minors. The youngest top prospects are usually shortstops. This position also has the highest percentage of international players. There is a significant drop-off in talent around #40 in my 2B/SS rankings. With that being said, you could argue that any 2B/SS prospect ranked in in the #26-#39 range should have been ranked in the Top 25. But these are my rankings, so here is my Top 25:

Summer is just about over, which means the peak stream season is just getting underway. If you’ve abstained from streaming up until this point, it’s time to check your innings pace and make moves. Even though the Sons of Roto are inundated with fantasy football work, “Stream Pies” will be here ‘til the very end of the baseball season to help you pick up the precious stats you need to gain those few extra points.

You’re welcome.

MiLB Prospect Rankings: Corner Infield

The Gizzo and the Old Dirty Bizzo didn't make the cut, but the Rizzo comes in at No. 2

Corner Infield is the position that has had the most turnover recently. Just think about all the elite 1B/3B prospects who have graduated in the past 18 months (Hosmer, Moustakas, Freeman, Trumbo, Belt, Morel, B.Allen, Smoak, Ike Davis). I did not include Goldschmidt, Lawrie, Chisenhall, C.Carter, K.Seager or J.Paredes who have or are likely to graduate in September. As a result, these rankings are extremely subjective.

MiLB Prospect Rankings: Catcher

Written by Keith Petrower on .

devinMESORACO

That looks like a number two, but Devin Mesoraco is number one in my eyes

Some say that Catcher is the hardest position to scout. Many top-hitting catcher prospects get moved off the plate (Wil Myers), and the top defenders who don't hit right away are forgotten (Devin Mesoraco) until everything suddenly comes together. It's definitely a volatile position. But because catcher requires more tools than other positions, it gives us more criteria to differentiate between the Monteros and the Mesoracos of the world. And it makes it easy to spot elite draft prospects like Swihart, who demonstrate fielding, throwing, AND hitting strength at a young age.
