Whoever is drafting Yadier Molina in Rd 4 deserves to be donkey punched into oblivion.

It's true what they say, "If you draft a catcher early, it means you like to take it in the butt." There is nothing wrong if you're the guy who drafts Buster Posey, but please spare us from the Bust Her Posey jokes. You're not fooling anyone. We know. We know. Outside of leagues that use knee pads as a stat category, you'll want to avoid the ADP of a Posey or Yadier Molina, but we can have that chat when you're older. After the jump: Catcher rankings and projections for the 2013 fantasy baseball season.

Barring injury I'd expect him to get more AB's, I haven't heard anything to suggest he's not the everyday catcher.  I guess your projection doesn't really trash him or anything, I think he'll get a few more AB's and thus a few more counting stats across the board.  Personally I don't think I would draft anyone after Miguel Montero ahead of Perez, but I'm half crazy so...

*the only thing Perez really.....

Do the Royals plan on him being an everyday type of player? He's hitting fifth in a weak lineup; 515 PA seems about right. He's no Joe Mauer or Buster Posey, but a .281 AVG and 13 HR for a young C is pretty good if you ask me. I'm not down on him at all. Projected PA for Perez at Fangraphs: 439 (Steamer), 519 (Bill James), 507 (Oliver), 473 (Zips) and 539 (fangraphs users). I see he did hit .301 last year, but he's gonna strike out more often this time around. Its abnormal to see a player come up and post a K% (8.9) better than anything he posted in the minors (9.4 to 12.2). If you can't post a .200 ISO at the Royal's AA and AAA ball parks, you're officially a pussy. The other thing Perez really has going for him is the contact rate. Meh. Let people overpay for the hype of a "prospect".

You don't appear as high on Sal Perez as most, lower AB projection here too, not drinking the Kool-Aid?
