Most fantasy writers have no problem recommending players you should go after, but do they really pick up all the players they hype up? I’ll answer for them: no. Here on “Star’s Shares,” we’ll discuss players yours truly has personally invested in throughout the three leagues I’m in. If a player is good enough to sit on one of my teams, then surely they are worthy of your attention.

After your boy Dudley Do Work touted the efforts of Kyle Blanks last Monday, fantasy writers everywhere jumped on my Coattails Cadillac. Who is the next overlooked free agent fantasy player to make an impact? Find out after the jump:

This week’s “Star’s Shares” features a couple of retreads, a pair of white-hot players (pause), and a returning top prospect who (lord willing) will stick around for the long haul this time around.

Things were starting to get back on track until Kevin Gausman took the hill and shredded whatever gains I had made. Alas, we’re back on that horse, hoping to ride this bitch to some glory.

It admittedly hasn’t been a smooth start to the 2013 “Stream Pies” season, but the campaign (like yours truly) is still young.

The overall performance to date for “Stream Pies” has been up-and-down. There have been a couple of mound implosions that have hurt the overall numbers, but we’ve also spun some gems (see: Bartolo Colon’s complete-game shutout). If only we can find a way to get some more wins under our damn belt.

Zero wins through the first four “Stream Pies” pitchers, but aside from a Jake Odorizzi meltdown, the overall numbers were pretty good. Shit’s only gonna get better amigos, so grab a stool and a dirty mug of fun juice (a.k.a., beer).

The conclusion of Memorial Day weekend conjures up many thoughts: the beginning of the summer, barbeques, and a fresh season of “Stream Pies.”

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the format, it’s simple. I list a bunch of stream-worthy options along with the stats they’ll be most useful for. In the name of accountability, we’ll keep track of the performances all season.

So it’s pretty easy. All you have to do is blindly follow my advice, and your pitching-starved team will reap the benefits.
